Keyomars Hasanbeigi held without contact five days after arrest

Iranian authorities have withheld information about the whereabouts, condition, and place of detention of Keyomars Hasanbeigi, a Kurdish man from Ilam, for five days since his arrest.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Intelligence Department forces arrested Hasanbeigi on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, using severe violence and without presenting a warrant.
Hasanbeigi has been denied access to a lawyer as well as the right to contact or receive visits from his family since his arbitrary detention. His relatives' efforts to obtain information have so far been unsuccessful, while security authorities have refused to disclose any information about his fate or place of detention.
