Iran executes Saman Rashidi and Vahid Salimi in separate cases

Iranian authorities have executed Saman Rashidi, a Lor man, and Vahid Salimi in separate cases. Rashidi and Salimi had previously been sentenced to death on charges of "premeditated murder" and "drug-related offenses," respectively.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Rashidi, a Lor man from Izeh, was executed in the early hours of Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz, Khuzestan Province. He had been arrested five years earlier on charges of premeditated murder.
Meanwhile, Vahid Salimi, a 28-year-old man from Pakdasht, Tehran Province, was executed in the early hours of Monday, June 15, 2026, at Qom Central Prison (Langarud Prison). He had been arrested three years earlier on drug-related offenses and was subsequently sentenced to death.
Neither execution has been announced by Iranian state media or official outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
