Saeid Asareh detained by Iranian security forces in Ilam

Iranian security forces have detained Saeid Asareh, a Kurdish man from Malekshahi County, in Mehran, Ilam Province, and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, security forces arrested Asareh, a resident of Eslamiyeh Shahrak village in Mehran County, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, without presenting an arrest warrant.

Despite repeated inquiries by Asareh's family, authorities have not disclosed his whereabouts, the reasons for his detention, any charges against him, or his current condition.
