Civil activist Ali Musanezhad Farkoush arrested by IRGC Intelligence

The Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC Intelligence) arrested Ali Musanezhad Farkoush, a civil activist and former political prisoner, in Taleqan County, Alborz Province, and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, IRGC Intelligence forces arrested Musanezhad Farkoush in Taleqan on the evening of Friday, July 24, 2026.

Three days after his arrest, authorities have yet to disclose the reasons for his detention, any charges against him, or his whereabouts. His family remains without information about his condition or place of detention.

Musanezhad Farkoush has previously been arrested and imprisoned for his civil and political activities. Iranian judicial authorities sentenced him to prison, and he served his sentence.
