Arab man killed by IRGC gunfire in Ahvaz, another seriously wounded

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces shot and killed Abbas Khosraji, a 35-year-old Arab man and father of two from the Ein-Do (Seyed Karim) district of Ahvaz, on Monday, July 27, 2026. Another man was seriously wounded in the same incident.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the shooting occurred on the Ahvaz-Hamidiyeh road near the residential area of Ein-Do, where IRGC forces stationed at a nearby military base opened fire on Khosraji.
Sources familiar with the incident said Khosraji was collecting scrap metal along the roadside near the IRGC base when troops opened fire without warning. He was struck by live ammunition and died at the scene.
Another man who was collecting scrap metal with Khosraji was seriously wounded in the shooting. Hengaw is continuing to verify the injured man's identity.
