Iranian intelligence forces arrest five Kurdish men in Marivan

Iranian intelligence forces arrested at least five Kurdish men from Sardoush village in Marivan County during a predawn raid and transferred them to an undisclosed location.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Azad Norouzi, Zanyar Tavana, Pouya Kakemohammadi, Zanyar Qaderi, and Shirzad Abdi were arrested in the early hours of Saturday, August 29, 2026, when Intelligence Department forces raided Sardoush village.

According to Hengaw’s sources, at around 5:00 a.m., several vehicles carrying armed intelligence agents entered the village and violently and arbitrarily arrested the five men without presenting warrants.

Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for their arrests, the charges against them, or their whereabouts.
