Soheila Mahmoudi killed by brother in Ravansar

Soheila Mahmoudi, a 45-year-old woman from Mehrgan village in Ravansar County, Kermanshah province, has been killed by her brother in a case of femicide.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mahmoudi was killed by one of her brothers on September 17, 2026.

Sources familiar with the case said Mahmoudi was stabbed multiple times by her brother following what was described as a “family dispute.” She sustained severe injuries and died as a result.

Hengaw has learned that the suspect was arrested by Iranian law enforcement forces following the killing.
