6 other Kurdish citizens detained in Iranian Kurdistan

Hengaw : following the recent wave of mass detention of Kurdish activists and citizens in various cities of Iranian Kurdistan, at least 6 other citizens have been detained by Iranian Security Forces in the cities of Naghadeh , Bukan, Mahabad, and Marivan.

 According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, Iranian intelligence forces in Naghadeh district of West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province raided the home of a Kurdish citizen and detained 3 members of a family who are identified as Abdullah Haji Ahmadi, Peyman Haji Ahmadi (son of Abdullah) and Glavij Abdullahi (Peyman's fiancée).
These 3 Kurdish citizens have been  transferred to an unknown location after their detention, and their fate is unknown.

 On the other hand, at the same time, a young Kurdish man from the village of "Ney" in Marivan district of Kurdistan province ,identified as Adel Parvazeh, has been detained  by Iranian Intelligence forces and transferred to an unknown location.

 On Monday, January 11, a Kurdish citizen from Bukan District of West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province , identified as Hossein Gardeshi , was detained by Iranian security forces, also on the same day, an other Kurdish citizen from Mahabad identified as Hassan Abdi, was detained .

 As of preparation of this report , the reason or reasons for the arrest of these 6 Kurdish citizens  and the charges against them have not been clarified by the security agencies.

According to statistics recorded by Hengaw Human Rights Organization’s Statistics and Documentation Data Center, at least 29 Kurdish activists and citizens have been detained by Iranian security forces in less than a week in the cities of Mahabad, Bukan , Rabat, Naghadeh , Marivan, Sarvabad, Sanandaj and Karaj.
