A Kurdish citizen executed in Urmia Prison

Hengaw : The death sentence of  one Kurdish citizen who was sentenced to death for drug-related crimes was carried out in Urmia Central Prison.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on the morning of Saturday, April 10,2021, the death sentence of a Kurdish citizen identified as "Bayazid Rashidi" was carried out in Urmia Central Prison.

Bayazid Rashidi, from the village of “Kalhur” in Urmia, was sentenced to death for drug-related crimes and transferred to solitary confinement on Thursday to serve his death sentence.

On Sunday, April 4, three prisoners, Ahad Habibovand, Mohammad Karim Mahmoudi, and Sadeghi Mohi, were executed in Urmia Central Prison on the same charges.
