Self murder of a November detainee in Dizelabad prison in Kermanshah

Hengaw: One of detainees of November protests in Kermanshah committed suicide after receiving his imprisonment verdict of Prison authorities.

According to the report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday 23th February, a 22 years old prisoner named  Reza Omidi Yarijani, son of Jaafar hanged himself in Dizelabad prison in Kermanshah.

Based on a reliable source, Reza Omidi committed suicide after receiving his imprisonment verdict from prison officials.

Reza Omidi was from Jalalwand village, Firuzabad district of Kermanshah and had been detained during November protests in Kermanshah.

He had been in detention for three months in Kermanshah intelligence service detention center and Dizelabad prison and had been recently sentenced to four months in prison by revolutionary court.

According to the report received by Hengaw, the security agencies have threatened the family of this 22 years old young man not to spread the news.
