Four Kurds were detained by the Iran forces in Esfarayn

Hengaw: Four Kurdish citizens were arrested in the aftermath of an incident between the residents and the police in Esfarayn. According to reports received by Hengaw, and based on local media reports from the northern Khorasan province, Javid Mehri, commander of the Iranian law enforcement forces stated that four citizens were arrested after the clashes between the residents and police. The four citizens, who have not yet been identified, were arrested on charges of publishing lies in cyberspace and provoking others to damage the police car that was at the scene of the accident that killed a young Kurdish child and injured others. Earlier this week, "Hengaw" reported on the 6 July police chase that claimed the life of a young boy and injured two others in the city. A source tells Hengaw, that one of those injured died as a result of his injuries and the other two are under doctor’s care where one of them is said to be in critical condition. The people of Asfariyn took to the streets protesting the incident which led to further conflict between the law enforcement agencies and the Kurdish residents where a number of the police cars were damaged sources tell Hengaw. The source also reported that since then the security forces have set up security checkpoints, police and intelligence agents have dressed in civilian clothing watching and checking peoples’ every move
