Hengaw - Friday July 11, 2025
The death sentences of four prisoners, including two Lor men and one Arab man, were carried out in the central prisons of Karaj and Shiraz. The individuals executed were identified as Abdolhossein Jaberi, Saeed Mehrabi, Mohammad-Tayyeb Abdollahi, and Naser Kazemzadeh. They had previously been sentenced to death on charges related to drug offenses and premeditated murder.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, early hours on Wednesday July 9, 2025, Jaberi and Mehrabi, both Lor men from Khorramabad, were executed in Karaj Central Prison, officially referred to in state media as Karaj Penitentiary.
The two had been arrested four years earlier on drug-related charges and were sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Hengaw had previously reported the execution of another inmate on the same day in Karaj Central Prison: Omid Shokripour, a 42-year-old Kurdish man from the Zardalan district in Helilan County, who had been detained six years ago on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death.
On the same day, two more executions were carried out in Adelabad Prison, also known as Shiraz Central Prison. The prisoners were identified as Mohammad-Tayyeb Abdollahi, a 44-year-old Arab man from Ahvaz and father of one child, and Naser Kazemzadeh, a 26-year-old man from Shiraz.
Abdollahi had been arrested three years earlier on murder charges following a financial dispute. Kazemzadeh had been detained four years ago for his involvement in a fatal street altercation. Both were sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
Iranian state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not announced these executions.
