Mahabad – Kamran Rawaz, Mansour Rahimi, and Salah Bahamin arrested by security forces

Three Kurdish men from Mahabad—Kamran Rawaz, Mansour Rahimi, a civil rights activist, and Salah Bahamin—have been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests took place on Friday, July 11, 2025. Kamran Rawaz, 28 years old and the father of one child, Mansour Rahimi, 34, and Salah Bahamin, 37, were all detained in their hometown of Mahabad.

The arrests were  carried out without the presentation of arrest warrants and were accompanied by intimidation in their family homes.

During the arrest of Mansour Rahimi, security forces also confiscated all electronic devices belonging to his family. They seized Salah Bahamin’s mobile phone as well.

No detailed information has been made available regarding the reasons for their arrests or the charges brought against them.
