Update : Ainaz Zare, a 17-year-old kurdish teenager, released from Urmia Prison

 Hengaw : A 17-year-old girl from Urmia, who was imprisoned with her mother in Urmia Central Prison since last year and was recently sentenced to prison, has been released from prison.

 According to a report received Hengaw Human Rights Organization, a 17-year-old Kurdish political prisoner in the women's ward of Urmia Central Prison has been released on Tuesday, November 26, 2020, after spending 15 months in prison.
 The release of this political prisoner came after she was sentenced last week by the First Branch of the Urmia Criminal Court for Children and Adolescents to 5 years in prison, but this sentence was reduced to one year after the protest, and since she was imprisoned for more than one year  , she got released today.

 Ainaz was sentenced to prison for acting against national security by being a member of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (Pak). She was under 18 years old and was denied the right to access to  a lawyer during a court hearing.

 Ainaz Zare and her 32-year-old mother, Shahnaz Sadeghifar, were detained by Iranian intelligence forces at Baneh border on September last year and have been in prison ever since.  Shahnaz Sadeghifar fought for 3 years in the ranks of the Kurdistan Free Party ( PAK) against ISIS and returned to the Baneh border after receiving an amnesty letter from the Iranian intelligence service, but she was detained there .

 Shahnaz (Birvan) Sadeghifar was tried by the Second Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia, headed by Judge Sheikhlou, on Tuesday, July 21, and sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of "membership in the Kurdistan Freedom Party (Pak)."  She was deprived of the right to access a lawyer during the trial and is currently serving her sentence in the Urmia prison Women's Ward.
