 Hengaw : Three Kurdish citizens from Urmia, who had previously been sentenced to prison by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court on charges of collaborating with Kurdish opposition parties, have been detained  for serving their sentences.

 According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 7, 2021, three Kurdish citizens from Urmia, named Shahram Kazemian, Safar Nouri, and Farhad Nouri, were detained  to serve their sentences and transferred to the city's central prison.  .

 Shahram Kazemian was detained on January 5, 2020 , and on Monday, March 2, 2020, he was sentenced by the Second Branch of Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in  Urmia, headed by Judge Ali Sheikhlou, to five years in prison for collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party.  .
 This civil activist was temporarily released from prison on a 700 million Toman ( US$28000) bail in April  2020 , and later his sentence was reduced to 3 years in prison by the Supreme Court of Iran.

 Safar Nouri and Farhad Nouri were also detained by IRGC intelligence forces in Urmia on Thursday , August 15, 2019

 In September 2020 , these two Kurdish citizens were each sentenced by the Second Branch of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Urmia to five years in prison on charges of "acting against national security through membership in the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK)."  Which their Imprisonment sentences were  reduced to one year a few days ago .
