The number of detained Kurdish citizens by Iranian security forces reaches to 80 — Detention of an other citizen in Mahabad

 Hengaw: A Kurdish civil activist in Mahabad district of West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province in Iranian Kurdistan has been  detained  after being summoned to the Iranian intelligence department in the city . 

 According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Arastu Mullah Rahimi, a Kurdish civil activist in Mahabad, was detained on Saturday, January 23, 2021, after being summoned to Iranian intelligence department in the city . 
 According to an informed source,Arastu Mullah Rahimi was summoned via a phone call  for some explanations regarding releasing a  post  on social media on February 23, 2021, for the establishment anniversary of the Republic of Kurdistan in Mahabad .

 Arastu Mullah Rahimi is one of the well-known civil activists in Mahabad who has been active in   “People's Aid  Civil Center of Mahabad “ and campaigns to help the earthquake victims of Kermanshah and Qotur and flood victims of Lorestan.

 According to statistics recorded by the Statistics and Documentation Data Center of Hengaw  Human Rights Organization, at least 80 Kurdish citizens have been detained in various cities of Iranian Kurdistan and Iran over the past three weeks, whose full identities have been published .
