Kurdish female political prisoner, Mojgan Kavousi deprived of the right to leave in Evin Prison

Hengaw : Mojgan Kavousi, a Kurdish writer and researcher from Kelardasht, who was arrested during the protests in November 2019, has been denied the right to leave by the disciplinary council of Evin Prison in Tehran.
According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Mojgan Kavousi, a Kurdish researcher and writer who is currently serving a three-year sentence in Tehran's Evin Prison, has been denied leave by the Evin Prison Disciplinary Council in Tehran. Despite suffering from an illness she has not been sent on leave
According to an informed source, after Kavousi’s 16-day hunger strike in September 2020 , to protest her deprivation to leave and receive medical treatments the Evin Prison Disciplinary Council has been denying her rights .
Mojgan Kavousi was arrested by the Nowshahr Intelligence Office in Mazandaran Province on Monday, November 18, 2019 during protests in, and was released on a 100 million Toman ( $4000) bail a month later.
In March 2020 The trial of Mojgan Kavousi, Kurdish writer and researcher from Kelardasht, was held and her sentence was increased to 79 months and 15 days in prison. She was also sentenced to 69 months in prison in December of the same year.
According to the verdict, Mojgan Kavousi was sentenced to 33 months in prison on charges of "membership in the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran", to 36 months in prison on charges of "disturbing public order" and 7 months and 15 days on charges of "propaganda against the regime". According to the law of aggregation of these three sentences, the most severe sentence, which is 36 months is enforceable.
Mojgan Kavousi was arrested on Monday, May 19, 2020 to serve her sentence, and was transferred from Nowshahr Central Prison in Mazandaran Province to Evin Prison in Tehran on Monday, June 2, 2020.
