Several kurdish citizens from Marivan arrested by the Iranian security forces for protesting the Salafist group’s maneuver in the city

Hengaw : One day after the citizens of Marivan protested against the Salafist group’s attack with knives and awards on a neighbourhood which resulted in  injuring 2 citizens the security agencies of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrested 4 citizens.

According to a report received by Hengaw  Human Rights Organization, at around 10:30 pm on Monday, May 3, 2021, the Iranian intelligence forces in Marivan  arrested at least 4 citizens named "Kajvan Feizi", "Fouad Feizi"  "Ako Chavki" and " Sherko Sohrabi" in Bayveh square of this city .

According to an informed source, these 4 citizens were from the "Darsiran" neighborhood of Marivan and were arrested by the intelligence services for protesting against the Salafist maneuver in their neighborhood that resulted in  injuring 2  citizens.

They have been transferred to an unknown location.

On the evening of Saturday, May 1, a group of Salafis in Marivan stormed the home of a citizen in the Darsiran neighbourhood of Marivan with knives and swords , injuring two people, one of whom is reported to be in critical condition.

The people in Marivan took streets  in the neighborhood last night to protest against the Salafist maneuvers in the city, demanding stopping these groups from attacking civilians , which led to the intervention of the security forces and the dispersal of the protesters.
