Executions of Peyman Afshar, Ali Mirza, and Mosaib Segvand carried out in Rasht, Malayer, and Khorramabad prisons

The death sentences of three prisoners — Peyman Afshar from Rasht, Mosaib Segvand from Khorramabad, and Ali Mirza — were carried out in the prisons of Rasht, Khorramabad, and Malayer. The three had previously been convicted on charges of premeditated murder and drug-related offenses.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the 43-year-old Gilak man, Afshar, was executed at Lakan Prison in Rasht. He had been arrested on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
On Sunday, July 13, 2025, Segvand, a Lor from Khorramabad, was executed at the city’s central prison. He had been held for six years following his arrest on murder charges and was sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic.
A day earlier, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, Mirza was executed at Malayer Central Prison in connection with drug-related offenses.
The executions have not been reported by state-affiliated media, including outlets linked to the Iranian judiciary.
