Kurdish citizen arrested in Bakuan and his fate is unknown

Hengaw : A Kurdish citizen from Bukan has been arrested last week by Iranian security forces and his fate is unknown.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Monday,m May 24, 2021,  Iranain security forces in Bukan arrested a Kurdish citizen identified as "Soran Sharifian" and transferred him to an unknown location.

According to an informed source, Soran Sharifian was arrested without providing a warrant and on charges of collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party.

The source further stated that after the arrest of Soran Sharifian, the security forces searched his house and confiscated his personal belongings, including his mobile phone, laptop and books.

One week after the arrest of this Kurdish citizen, and despite the constant persecution of his family, his whereabouts and fate are still unknown.
