Hasel Faqri arrested by Iranian forces in Mahabad

Iranian forces arrested Hasel Faqri, a 31-year-old Kurdish man from Mahabad, during a raid carried out without a warrant and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Faqri, originally from Kahrizeh Sheikhan village and a resident of Mahabad, was arrested on Monday, September 14, 2026, when Intelligence Department forces raided his family home without presenting a warrant.

The reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.
