 Hengaw: With the arrest of two citizens from Oshnaviyeh by the Iranian security agencies, the number of recent arrests in Iranian Kurdistan has reached up to 8.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, June 24, 2021, forces affiliated with Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps intelligence raided the village of Alian in the Dashta Bell region of Oshnaviyeh and arrested two citizens identified as” Hashem Khoran” and “Mehran Soleimanpour”.

After the arrest of the two citizens, the IRGC intelligence forces searched their homes and confiscated their personal belongings.

As of preparation of this report, the reason or reasons for the arrest of the two citizens and the charges against them are still unclear.

On the other hand, on Tuesday, June 22,2 other citizens named "Mehrdad Ahmadi Lalehabadi" from Kermanshah and "Hemmat Rahmani" from Mahabad were arrested by Iranian security forces in Baneh and taken to an unknown location.

According to an informed source, the two citizens were members of the Komala Party of Kurdistan and had returned to Iran after separating from the party from the Baneh border.

On Wednesday, June 23, another citizen from Oshnaviyeh, identified as "Mohsen Azizi", was arrested by Iranian security forces and was temporarily released on bail after 24 hours.

Also, on Monday, June 21, 2021, the Iranian intelligence forces in Oshnaviyeh arrested Loghman Azizi, a former political prisoner.

Also on Sunday, Iranian l intelligence forces arrested another citizen identified as “ Najib Daryani” 28-year-old " from Oshnaviyeh who was released two days later.

A citizen from Naghadeh, identified as Rahman Karimi, was also arrested by Iranian security forces on Saturday, June 20, and transferred to Urmia.
