16-year-old girl murdered by her father in Kermanshah under the pretext of “ Honor”

Hengaw: A teenage girl from Kermanshah has been stabbed to death by her father in Kermanshah.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, July 4, 2021, a 16-year-old girl from Kermanshah was brutally stabbed to death by her father several times under the pretext of "honor."

According to an informed source, Shakiba was first beaten by her father, identified as Shapur Bakhtiyar, after returning home late from the bazaar, and then stabbed several times to death.

According to the statistics recorded at the Statistics and Data Documentation Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, since March 2021, 9 women and girls have been killed in different cities of Iranian Kurdistan, of which 8 were committed by close family members.

Of the total of 9 cases, 2 were recorded as “honor killings”.
