Hengaw: During the Nowruz celebrations in Sanandaj Children's Park, more than 30 citizens were detained by security agencies, at least three of them are teenagers and below 18.
According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Monday evening, March 21, 2022, more than 30 citizens were detained by security forces during a ceremony in a park in Sanandaj. Until now, the identity of 15 of them has been revealed for Hengaw and is as follows:
Ariana Salimi, 14, Omid Hosseini, 16, Azad Mahmoudian, 17, Daya Batool Azami, 75, Jamal Asadi, 65, Sohrab Jalali, 60, Fouad Enayati, 35, Keyvan Zand karimi, Sahand Barzanji, Keyvan Mahmoudi, Arash Shakiba, Khaled Hosseini , Jamshid Ferri, Fardin Peymankar, and Kayhan Kakehkhani.
Hengaw has informed that security forces had charged all detainees with wearing or using Jamaneh pattern on Kurdish clothes, and Ariana Salimi had been released at 2 p.m. on Tuesday following a written pledge.
It is worth mentioning that the Revolutionary Guards had previously issued a circular banning the use of jamaneh in Nowruz ceremonies in Kurdistan this year.
