A political prisoner from Kermanshah identified as Siavash Bahrami, 25, died on Saturday, May 30, 2022, three days after his release from Paveh Prison. He died suspiciously at his brother's house in "Dare Drej" neighborhood of Kermanshah, and his family blames security agencies for his death.

A relative of Bahrami's family, who did not want to be named for security reasons, rejected the news of Siavash's suicide and told Hengaw: "Siavash died suddenly at 3 pm while having no signs of illness or pain. One hour after his death, his body was completely bruised ." Three eyewitnesses confirmed that Siavash Bahrami's body was bruised one hour after his death.

The source added: "Siavash's body was transferred to a forensic doctor on Saturday, and on Sunday, the cause of death was noted as a heart attack, while Siavash did not have any heart disease, and we, as his family, believe that Siavash has been injected with an ampule in prison."

According to the source, Bahrami's family, who objected to the forensic doctor's response, were threatened by the security services that they are not allowed to talk about this case with anyone or any media.

It is worth mentioning that the funeral of Siavash Bahrami, who was a follower of the Yarsan religion, was held on Sunday, May 29, in "Sarab Qaleh Zanjar" in Dalahou city.

Siavash Bahrami, a follower of the Yarsan religion and a resident of the "Dare Drej" neighborhood (Shahrak Mahdi) in Kermanshah, was arrested by intelligence forces at the Nowsud border last March while traveling to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Since then, he was detained in Paveh Central Prison until Thursday, May 26, 2022.

It is worth mentioning that Siavash Bahrami was a member of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (Pak) in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq for some time, and he had returned to Kermanshah after leaving the party.

It is noteworthy that the news of Siavash Bahrami's arrest and imprisonment in Paveh Central Prison has not been reported in the media yet.
