On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 7:30 PM, a young woman from Sanandaj, identified as Sargol Akbar and mother of three children, was struck by her husband with an iron hammer on the head and body.
An informed source told Hengaw that Sargol Akbari was killed by her husband, Erfan Ghaderi, due to family conflicts at her home in the Hassanabad neighborhood of Sanandaj.
Erfan Ghaderi is from "Karahsi" village and is addicted to drugs. He escaped after committing the murder and has not been arrested yet. He had beaten his wife several times before.
According to the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documentation Center of the Human Rights Organization, since the beginning of the year (5 months) at least 6 women have been killed by their husbands in the cities of Sanandaj (2 cases), Kermanshah (3 cases), and Saqqez (1 case).
