Zamaneh Zivieh, a civil activist from Saqqez, who was previously sentenced to 10 months in prison by the Revolutionary Court of this city, was arrested on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, after referring to the Enforcement of Judgements of the Saqqez Revolutionary Court, and was sent to the central prison of this city to serve her sentence.
According to the report received by the human rights organization Hengav, Zamane Zivieh, who was previously sentenced to 10 months in prison, was sentenced to 2 months and 15 days of imprisonment, including the days of detention, and 7 months and 15 days of suspended prison. Therefore, she should stay in Saqqez Central Prison for 45 days.
Zamaneh Zivieh was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment by Branch 1 of Saqqez Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Javad Mostafaei in May on the charge of being a member of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PAJAK).
Zamaneh Zivieh, 29, a law graduate of Payam Noor University of Saqqez, was arrested on Monday, January 29, when the intelligence agency raided her house. She was temporarily released on bail of 300 million Tomans after 33 days of imprisonment.
Zamaneh Zivieh has a 4-year-old child, and during her detention, she was deprived of the right to access a lawyer and family visits.
