Varan Mohammadnejad, 31, a well-known civil activist and a member of the Nowzhin Social-Cultural Association, was arrested and taken to an unknown place.
According to the report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Thursday, October 13, 2022, the security forces arrested Varan Mohammadnejad, a civil activist and a senior student of the Yazd University of Arts, at the Sanandaj city terminal while going to Yazd city.
According to an informed source, Varan Mohammadnejad was arrested by violence, and after her arrest, there is no information about her fate and whereabouts.
It should be noted that Varan Mohammadnejad and her husband Payam Miri were arrested by the security forces in Sanandaj on Monday, February 21, while distributing posters for the World Mother Language Day prepared by Nowzhin Association.
Varan Mohammadnejad and Payam Miri are from Tangisar village and live in Sanandaj.
