Authorities detain two residents of Gilan-e Gharb

Shoaib Fathi and Ayub FaqirNawaz were detained by security forces as part of the ongoing wave of arrests in Iranian Kurdistan. They are both residents of the city of Gialn-e Gharb in the province of Kermanshah.

The security forces reportedly stormed the houses of two citizens, Shoaib Fathi and Ayub FaqirNawaz, on Tuesday evening, October 18, 2022, and detained them, according to a report that the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights received.

The security authorities forcibly detained these two civilians after they took part in Kermanshah's public demonstrations over the killing of Kurdish woman Zhina Amini, 22, by the morality police in Iran.
