​Fayeq MamGhaderi, who was seriously injured and went into a coma during the protests and popular resistance in Mahabad by the Iranian government forces, died due to the severity of his injuries.

According to the report received by the Hengaw human rights organization, on the morning of Wednesday, November 9, 2022, Fayeq MamGhaderi, a 35-year-old young Kurdish man from Mahabad, West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province, died of severe injuries after being hospitalized for a month in the "Khomeini" hospital in Urmia. He was hit by six bullets in the head, back, and abdomen.

According to someone close to MamGhaderi’s family, Fayeq MamGhaderi’s body is still kept in the Khomeini Hospital's morgue and has not been handed over to his family.

Hengaw had previously reported that Fayeq MamGhaderi, along with Masoud Farajzadeh, was shot several times by Iranian government forces during the protests and popular resistance in Mahabad on Saturday evening, September 15, 2022.

The car carrying these two citizens was shelled by government forces near Esteghlal Square in Mahabad, and both were seriously injured and were taken to Urmia due to the severity of their injuries.

Fayeq MamGhaderi is married and the father of two children.

It should be mentioned that Dana MamGhaderi, the younger brother of Faiq Mamqaderi, was also seriously injured by direct fire from the Iranian government forces that night and was arrested. He was released on bail last week.
