Hooman Abdullahi, from Sanandaj, died in the hospital shortly after being shot by Iranian government forces during the popular uprising in this city.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Wednesday, December 7, 2022, Hooman Abdullahi, 21 years old, died due to the severity of his injuries after being shot by Iranian government forces in the Hasan Abad neighborhood of Sanandaj.
According to eyewitnesses, this citizen was shot in the chest and died shortly after being transferred to Kausar Hospital in Sanandaj.
Hengaw sources have reported that security forces have surrounded Kausar Hospital and are trying to kidnap Hooman Abdullahi's body so that his funeral can be held at night without the presence of people.
Based on the statistics registered in the statistics and documents center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, including the recent case, 20 citizens in Sanandaj have been killed by the government forces during the popular uprisings.
During the 80 days of protests and resistance in Kurdistan (Iran), which took place in 47 cities, at least 123 Kurdish citizens were killed and more than 8,000 were injured by the direct fire of the repressive forces of the Iranian government.
