The Iranian Criminal Court in Ilam sentenced Nigar Davoodi, one of the arrested citizens of the protests in this city, to 5 years in prison.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the 3rd branch of the Iranian Criminal Court in Ilam issued a sentence of 5 years imprisonment for Nigar Davoodi on Saturday, December 24, 2022.

According to an informed source, the aforementioned sentence was issued on the accusations of "collusion against national security" and "propaganda against the regime."

The sentence was issued when this citizen was released from the women's ward of Ilam Central Prison last week on a bail of 500 million tomans (12,500 USD) after a month of detention.

19-year-old Nigar Davoodi from Ilam was arrested by Iranian government forces on November 20, 2022, and was transferred to the women's ward of Ilam Central Prison. She was arrested for the first time in September and then released.

It should be mentioned that this citizen has been acquitted of the charges against her by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Ilam.
