Siavash Rasouli, a death sentenced prisoner from Sardasht imprisoned in Rajaei Shahr Karaj, died as a result of a lack of medical attention and a delay in transfer to medical centers.

According to the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Siavash Rasouli was arrested by government forces six years ago and sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic of Iran's judicial system three years later.

A reliable source stated that despite earlier warnings to the jail authorities about the severity of his condition, he passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, in Karaj's Madani Hospital as a result of the time it took for him to be taken to a hospital.

According to one of Rasouli's relatives, the family of Siavash Rasouli was unaware of the progression of his illness, his transfer to medical centers, and his death until they received a phone call from the prison after his death.
