Hengaw verified the identity of another prisoner who had been executed at Arak

Ali Garavand, a citizen of Kuhdasht city in Lorestan Province, was executed in Arak Central Prison last week on charges of drug-related crimes.

According to a report published earlier by Hengaw, five citizens sentenced to death on drug-related charges were executed in Arak Central Prison at dawn on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

Ali Garavand, 27 years old and from Kuhdasht, is another one of these five prisoners, whose death sentence was executed on January 11. He was arrested and sentenced to death three years ago, and his family was denied the right to meet him for the last time before the execution by the authorities.

Previously, the identities of two other prisoners, Azad Dadvand, 40 years old, from Sardasht, and Kaiwan Amini, 42 years old, were published by Hengaw, and the identities of the other two prisoners have not been confirmed yet.
