The Iranian government forces in Javanrud abducted a 20-year-old citizen named Saman Abdi from his family home.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on January 16, 2023, government forces abducted Saman Abdi, a resident of Javanrud, and took him to an unknown place.

According to an informed source, this citizen was abducted by these forces as soon as he arrived home after returning from Tehran.

So far, no detailed information has been made available about the location, state of health, or reasons for the kidnapping of Saman Abdi by government agencies.

Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, including the kidnapping of Saman Abdi, at least 44 citizens from Javanrood have been arrested or kidnapped by government agencies in the last two weeks. Among them, the names of 12 children have been verified by Hengaw.
