The death sentence of Sabina Ismailzadeh, a Kurdish prisoner from Mahabad, as well as Abulfazl Barqaninejad, from Karaj, who were previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was executed in Karaj Central Prison.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, January 22, 2023, the death sentence of Sabina Esmailzadeh, from Mahabad, was carried out in the central prison of Karaj.
According to an informed source, 30-year-old Sabina Ismailzadeh, an architecture student, was arrested by Iranian government forces six years ago on drug-related charges and then sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
Also at the same time, the death sentence of a prisoner from Karaj, named Abulfazl Barqaninejad, was carried out in the central prison of Karaj for drug charges.
