Two other Kurdish Muslim clerics from Javanroud were arrested

Mullah Farooq Qaderu and Mullah Yaser Karimi, two Kurdish Muslim clerics from Javanroud, were arrested by Iranian government forces in the last 48 hours. In the same period, two other clerics from Javanroud were kidnapped by these forces.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, today, Tuesday, January 31, 2023, Mullah Farooq Qaderi, a resident of Javanroud, was taken to an unknown location after being arrested by Iranian government forces.

Also, on the evening of Monday, January 30, 2023, the Iranian government institutions arrested Mullah Yaser Karimi, a resident of Javanroud and the teacher of "The Nanleh" School of Religious Sciences in Sanandaj, after being summoned.

This is even though Hengaw reported the kidnapping of two other clerics, Ebrahim Karimi Nanle from Javanroud, the older brother of Yaser Karimi, and Mullah Luqman Amini from Paveh.

There is no detailed information about the fate of these clerics after they were arrested and abducted by Iranian government forces, and their conditions and whereabouts are still unknown.
