Zhila (Jila) Hozhabri, a female activist from Marivan who was arrested this summer in Bukan city by the Iranian government forces, was sentenced to five years in prison.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, recently the activist Zhila Hozhabri from Marivan was sentenced to five years in prison by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Bukan, headed by Judge Keshavarzi.
According to an informed source, the verdict was issued and officially communicated to her on the charge of "collaboration and membership in the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK)."
Zhila Hozhabri was arrested last summer by the forces of the Iranian Intelligence in Bukan, and after the interrogations were completed, she was transferred to the women's ward of Urmia Central Prison.
After one month, she was transferred from the women's ward of Urmia prison to Sanandaj Correctional Center and later temporarily released on bail until the end of the proceedings.
