Arslan Bahrami, a Kurdish artist, and photographer from Saqqez, has been sentenced to 9 months in prison and 50 lashes by the Iranian Judiciary.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in recent days, 36-year-old Arslan Bahrami, a Kurdish artist, and photographer from Saqqez have been sentenced to 9 months in prison and 50 lashes by Branch 105 of the 2nd Criminal Court of Saqqez, headed by Judge Keyvan Jahani.
According to an informed source, this verdict was issued on charges of "propaganda against the regime" and "propaganda for opposition groups on social media”.
It should be mentioned that Arslan Bahrami was summoned by the Iranian government institutions during the recent protests and was temporarily released on bail after being interrogated and completing the proceedings.
