The death sentence of a prisoner from Charadol city, Ilam province, named Salman Momeni, who was previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was carried out in Arak Central Prison.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, March 5, 2023, the death sentence of Salman Momeni, 36, from Cheradol, Ilam, was secretly carried out in Arak Central Prison.
Four years ago, Salman Momeni was arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
According to one of the relatives of Momeni's family, Salman Momeni's death sentence was carried out secretly and without the last meeting with his family.
It is worth mentioning that the death sentence of Mehdi Nurkarmi, the cousin of Salman Momeni, who was arrested with the same charges, was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, in Arak prison.
So far, the news of the execution of this Kurdish citizen has not been announced in the Iranian state media and media affiliated with the judiciary.
