The Iranian government forces stationed in the border area of "Gadar" in Oshnaviyeh shot and killed a Kurdish citizen named "Ayni Qadernejad" from Urmia. They also injured one citizen and arrested two others.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, April 2, 2023, Ayni Qadernejad was killed by direct fire from the Iranian government forces on the border of Gadar in Oshnaviyeh, and one of his companions, a 51-year-old Mohammad Latif Khalidi, was also seriously injured.
According to informed sources, Ayni Qadernejad’s body was taken to the forensic doctor in Naghade city, and Mohammad Latif Khalidi underwent surgery on both legs and one hand in one of the hospitals of this city.
These two citizens from Cherikabad village of the "Mirgewer" region in Urmia were shot by the government forces while they were crossing the border area of Gadar.
Two other Kurdish citizens from Cherikabad village, named Mohammad Sadiq Khalidi, 32 years old, and Shahram Saleh Mohammadi, were also arrested by the Iranian government forces and taken to an unknown location.
According to an informed source, the Iranian government forces shot at these four citizens without any warning or justification.
