A prisoner was killed in a fight between prisoners at Qezelhesar Prison

 A Kurdish prisoner from Kohdasht named Abuzar Safari was killed during a physical fight between prisoners in Qezelhesar prison in Karaj.
 
 According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Saturday, April 1, 2023, a Kurdish prisoner named Abuzar Safari, from Kohdasht city of Lorestan, was killed as a result of a physical fight between prisoners in Qezelhesar prison.
 
 According to an informed source, this prisoner was imprisoned on drug-related charges and was stabbed to death by another prisoner in Ward 3 of Qezelhesar Karaj Prison.
 
 Meanwhile, on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, as a result of a physical fight between prisoners in Kermanshah Central Prison (Dizilabad), a prisoner named Mehdi Karmi from Islamabad-e-Gharb city was killed.

 Earlier, Hengaw reported that another prisoner named Majid Shahwaisi, 35 years old, from Kermanshah, was killed with a knife during a fight between prisoners in Dizalabad on February 22, 2023.

 The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has always warned about the lack of life security for prisoners in Iranian prisons.  According to the research and documents obtained in the Iranian prisons, in addition to the existence of the drug-selling mafia, all kinds of cold weapons are always brought into the prison environment with the supervision and financial support of the prison officials.
