Fariba Zandkarimi, a teacher from the Sanandaj Department of Education was arrested after being summoned to the Intelligence Department of this city. including this case, 16 Kurdish teachers have been arrested in the last three months.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at around 20:00 on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, 35-year-old Fariba Zandkarimi, one of the contract teachers of the Sanandaj Department of Education, was arrested after being reported to the intelligence department of this city.
According to an informed source, last night, after the arrest of Fariba Zandkarimi, the forces of the intelligence agency stormed her house and searched it.
So far, detailed information about the reasons for the arrest, fate, and whereabouts of Fariba Zandkarimi is not available and the follow-up of her family has been fruitless.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and documents center of Hengaw, from the beginning of 2023 until now (about three months), at least 16 Kurdish teachers in the cities of Abdanan, Bijar, Sanandaj, and Diwandarreh. Paveh, Kermanshah, and Saqqez have been arrested by the Iranian government institutions.
