Kurdish teacher Milad Khorshidi detained for nearly a month, fate unknown

Milad Khorshidi, a Kurdish primary school teacher residing in Marivan, has been detained by Iranian security forces for nearly a month, with no information available about his fate.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Khorshidi, 32, is married and originally from Bahramabad village in Sarvabad. Intelligence Department forces arrested him during a raid on his home in Marivan and transferred him to the Ministry of Intelligence detention facility in Sanandaj.

During the arrest, security forces searched Khorshidi’s home. Following his detention, he has also been subjected to pressure aimed at extracting a forced confession.

Despite nearly a month having passed since his arrest, his family’s efforts to obtain information about his condition have yielded no results.

Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for Khorshidi’s arrest or the charges against him, and no precise information about his fate is currently available.
