Iranian authorities detained a citizen in Zahedan
Abdulhamid Rigi (Ebrahimi), a Baloch citizen from Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchistan province, has been arrested by Iranian authorities.

Abdulhamid Rigi (Ebrahimi), a Baloch citizen from Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchistan province, has been arrested by Iranian authorities.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mr. Rigi was arrested by authorities on his way home from the mosque in Zahedan. According to a post published on the Hal Wash website, Mr. Rigi was severely beaten during his arrest.
The arrest occurred on Friday, April 7, 2023, and Mr. Rigi's whereabouts are currently unknown.
Despite repeated follow-ups by his family, authorities have not provided any information about Mr. Rigi’s condition, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
