Bahar Zangiband, a professor at the Azad University of Sanandaj, who was previously arrested during the "Women, Life, Freedom" popular protests, has been banned from teaching and working at the university by the security of this higher education center.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Bahar Zangiband, a physical education (PE) lecturer at the Azad University of Sanandaj, was deprived of the right to teach and work due to the pressure of the government institutions and the security of this university.

According to an informed source, this university professor has been banned from attending classes and teaching students of the Azad University of Sanandaj for more than 6 months.

It should be noted that Bahar Zangiband has been working as a contract lecturer at Azad University for seven consecutive years.

Bahar Zangiband, who is one of the famous female activists in Sanandaj in addition to academic teaching, was arrested on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, by the forces of the Sanandaj Intelligence Department. Finally, on Saturday, October 8, she was temporarily released from the institution's detention center until the end of the proceedings.
