The death sentence of a Baluch prisoner called Hossein Rigi, who was previously sentenced to death for drug-related crimes, was executed in Mashhad Central Prison.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentence of a 23-year-old prisoner called Hossein Rigi was executed in the Vakilabad prison of Mashhad on Friday, May 12, 2023.
According to the Halvash website, Hossein Rigi was from Zahedan and was arrested three years ago and sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad on charges of drug-related crimes.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and documents center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, since the beginning of this year, 2023 (132 days), at least 48 Baluch prisoners have been executed in different prisons in Iran.
