Armita Pawir, a student activist, was arrested again in Tabriz

Armita Pawir, a student activist and one of the detainees of the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement, has been arrested for the second time by Iranian government forces in Tabriz and transferred to an unknown location.

 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, Armita Pawir, a student activist from Tabriz, was arrested by the Iranian government forces at her home.
 

Armita Pawir, a student of cellular and molecular biology at Tabriz Madani University, previously announced in a tweet: "I will not accept an apology, an expression of remorse, and writing a letter of commitment for freedom."
 

She was arrested by Iranian government forces in front of the entrance of Azerbaijan Civil University in Tabriz on October 31, 2022, during nationwide protests.
 

On December 8, 2022, Armita Pawir was temporarily released from Tabriz prison by posting bail of 250 million tomans (5,000 USD) until the end of the proceedings.
