The number of detainees in Naqadeh has increased, reaching a total of four individuals this week, with the recent arrest of 18-year-old Mardin Chiodar by government forces.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, Mardin Chiodar, a resident of the Sandus area in Naqadeh, was apprehended by the Intelligence Forces.
An informed source, who is close to Mardin Chiodar's family, revealed that this young individual was detained without the presentation of any legal documentation during a raid conducted by government forces at his parents' residence.
At present, specific information regarding the grounds for the arrest, the charges faced by Mardin Chiodar, as well as details about his custodial and location of detention, remains unknown. The family's attempts to get information on these matters have been unsuccessful.
