Mohammad Sadeghi, an actor renowned for his work in theater and television, was apprehended during a forceful raid conducted by government forces in Tehran and subsequently relocated to an undisclosed facility.
According to a report obtained by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Sunday afternoon, July 16th, 2023, Mohammad Sadeghi, a prominent figure in the theater and television industry, was detained at his private residence in Tehran by government forces while on a live Instagram reel.
Video evidence obtained by Hengaw indicates that the authorities forcefully entered the actor's residence without presenting a valid legal warrant and proceeded to arrest him, breaking down the door to his apartment.
During the live Instagram reel, Mohammad Sadeghi voiced criticisms pertaining to the oppression of women and the resurgence of censorship in public spaces and the return of morality police. During which he was attacked and assaulted by government forces.
Mohammad Sadeghi, a 30-year-old resident of Tehran, has played significant roles in various theatrical productions and television series, including his notable appearance in the popular series titled "Bi-Hamagan."
